Davardis was established in 1971 and was the first pizza shop in the North of England.

The Lindley family acquired the business from the Davardi family in 2007 and took on what are now nearly 50 year old recipes And continue the time honoured methods of dough making and the original sauces to this day.

Originally operating from Davardis Walkden (M2.3BW), the family established Davardis Monton Limited in March 2016 (M3.9GS) and rolled out the recipes and processes to this their first expansion in a 2nd location.

They have established significant recognition for their pizzas. In 2016 Davardis were finalists in the English Italian Awards Best Pizza category and were listed as making one of the best 10 pizzas in England. In 2017, for the 2nd year running, they were shortlisted once again in the top 10 best pizzas Nationally.

Rob and Sarah Lindley (the parents) head up this owner managed business and are at a stage in life where they looking to make significant changes to their work life balance and give more time to life outside of work and in order to do so have decided to sell Davardis Monton.

Davardis Monton is a very popular, established Pizza Restuarant and Take Away situated in a resurgent part of North Manchester. Monton has a village vibe, good schools, an array of trendy bars and restaurants with an easy commute to Manchester City Centre and Media City. It attracts families and friends out for lunch or brunch and revellers by night.

The Pizza Restaurant

Downstairs comprises the front entrance to a take-away area, with counter and stairs off. Behind the counter is a large food prep area with a large double pizza oven, under counter fridges and freezers with work-tops, gas oven and hob with excellent extraction. At the back is a small utility room with a sink and dish-washer. Beyond is a gated yard and parking spaces for shop owners in a gated area beyond.

Upstairs there is a restaurant with space for approximately 30 covers, a unisex restroom, combi boiler (heating and hot water), storage room and bar.

At the front is a retractable awning which covers a small seating area.

The average monthly number of employees, including directors, during the Year to 31 March 2019 was 15.

The property is leasehold and is owned by a locally based landlord with rent of £11,000 per annum.

Davardis Monton is licensed and is open Wednesday to Saturday 5pm to 10:30pm and on a Sunday 4:30pm to 10:30pm.
